program synopsis

The ‘Academic Track’ CTech program in Telecommunications Engineering is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts and principles of the core subject areas of this program. As part of the practical aspects of the program, students are also provided basic skills in the relevant subject areas of the program. Students who successfully complete the CTech Program can proceed to the DTech version of the program at AIT. The CTech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering program is of One Semester duration and students take between 4 to 6 core courses on this program.

Entry requirements

Senior Secondary/High School Certificate Examination (SS/HSCE) or West African Senior Secondary School Certificate (WASSCE) with an aggregate score of 24 or better in six subjects including passes in: Three Core Subjects (including Core English, and Core Mathematics) plus Three Electives.

For Engineering or Computer Science Programs, the Three electives should include Elective Mathematics and Elective Science (Physics, plus Chemistry or Biology)
